We just returned from a fabulous stay at Julie & Gio's suite, and can't say enough good things about it. Firstly, we were blessed with phenomenal weather- hot days and starry nights, all overlooking one of the most beautiful lakes on the Island. We have stayed in other rentals on Sproat Lake before, and although they all had their upsides, Julie & Gio's home is beyond. The suite itself is virtually brand new, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully supplied, with lots of space for our family of four. The unit is climate controlled as well, which is a major plus on those 33 degree days! It was heaven to walk into after a long day on the water. That being said, one of our absolute favourite parts of the suite is the deck- it is HUGE, and enjoys the kind of views that you can usually only enjoy by renting an entire house. The deck is also covered, providing shade on hot days, and is a lovely cool spot to enjoy your morning coffee- something I miss already. Add to this the gracious, warm hosts and what else could you ask for? We brought our speed boat and Julie & Gio allowed us to tie up to their dock, which is spacious and easy to negotiate. I should also add that the home is located on Stirling Arm, which is in our opinion, the best part of the lake. Thank you Julie & Gio! We can't wait to return!

We stayed for 3 nights in this place and had a FANTASTIC time. The lake house itself is soo nicely styled and fully equiped with everything you can possibly need. We loved the BBQs on the terrass . The view is stunning, looking right on Sproat Lake, and you can walk right into the water from the private owned dock. The water is so nice to swim in, so clear, so clean so soft like we never saw before. Julie and Gio , the owners , made the stay complete, they really want to give you the best of time. We made a boat trip with them and had such a lovely time! So summarizing, this is place is a hidden gem, and our 3 day stay was for us one of the highlights of our 4 week vacation in canada and US. Julie and Gio: we will definitely come back one time!

We were impress with the place when we first saw it. Julie and Gio are fabulous host. Our little 3 year old boy loved the boat ride they gave us, swimming in such clean and clear water, and playing on the large patio outside our suite. The décor and design of the place is modern and chic. Views of the lakes and surrounding forest and mountains does take your breath away. We will definitely return for future vacations here.

Our stay at Julie and Gio's place was great. We captured one "good" weather day on the lake in our boat. The weather did not exactly cooperate, but even so, the place was very comfortable and accommodating. The lower deck provides a tremendous view of the lake and some good shelter for "dry" BBQ'ing. This beautiful lake house is in a splendid location on Sproat Lake in the middle of peaceful nature. The mornings are magical on the lake where the fog rises slowly clearing the peaceful clear water of the lake opening the view to the mountains. The hosts have placed a touch of class in the midst of these mountainous areas, leaving no details out!! From the charming design of the house, which is modern and has all equipments required, with fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, very comfortable living space, WiFi and Internet access. The facility is spacious and spotless! The outdoors is also very well equipped with a beautiful very large balcony and an outdoor leaving area, BBQ and deck on the lake for water activities. The water of the lake is remarkably clear! What we enjoyed most was the location and the surrounding areas. We are great nature lovers and the area offers hiking trails, close access to the city and fairly short distances to discover parks, beaches, mountains, and beautiful cities. So many places to discover but Cathedral Grove is to discover!! The hosts were fantastic. They welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property and all the facilities. In short; fabulous place, great hosts, highly recommend the lake house. When we return one day and we will, this is the place we are coming back to!!

Gorgeous setting, breathtaking views, super comfortable lake house with warm, welcoming hosts! Not a single detail was overlooked when they outfitted this place. What a treat to have at our fingertips - kayaks, stand up paddle boards, canoe, water floaty toys, deck lounge chairs, board games, Netflix, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious, comfy deck to lounge on, BBQ...and much more! We will be back as soon as we get the chance! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home! (Everything felt brand new, was super clean - no smoking, no pets - lots to see and do nearby, and hosts were friendly, happy to visit or to respect our privacy. Words cannot express how beautifully kind Julie and Gio are to have welcomed us in their beautiful guest home on the lake after we lost our home in Fort Mcmurray. It was exactly the quiet and relaxing break we needed from reality and they made sure we were well taken care of. They had paddle boards for us to play with and salmon to feed us. I would not miss an opportunity to stay at their stunning suite and hopefully you will be blessed to have a conversation with these warm and gracious individuals. Full of gratitude.

We LOVED our stay at this suite! It was so cozy and comfortable and perfect for a romantic getaway! The suite had everything we needed and we didnt want to leave. The large patio overlooking the lake was stunning and the large windows let you in enjoy the views from any room in the suite! Julie and Gio were wonderful hosts and welcomed us and even took the time to send us special places to kiteboard in the area. We were blown away and hope to return again sometime! Highly recommend :)

My friend and I, plus teens, booked this suite for a week-long getaway on Sproat Lake. We had a fabulous stay, from the moment we arrived with boat and 2 cars, to the sad day we had to pack up and leave. The suite had absolutely everything we could ever need, including a washer and dryer, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, games, bluetooth speakers etc. We enjoyed relaxing on our private deck, swimming from and sunning on the wharf, and the joy of being at the lake without having to scrimp on comfort. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, and available to answer any questions. There are stairs to the unit, and down to the water, but all have handrails and feel very safe.

This is a vacation rental second to none!   Just steps from the pristine waters of Sproat Lake, this well-appointed suite features a private entrance and large outdoor deck overlooking the water.  Julie and Gio are wonderful hosts who made us feel both welcome and comfortable during our stay.  I would not hesitate to recommend this "home away from home" to anyone.  We will certainly be back to enjoy the peaceful location and generous hospitality again.

Our family (2 adults and one toddler) stayed on Sproat Lake for 2 months. The suite was beautifully finished with plenty of room for the three of us.  It had everything that we needed and Julie and Gio were wonderful hosts. It is only about a 15 minute drive into town and being within an hour to Tofino and Nanaimo, there is plenty to do. On top of being a wonderful place to stay at, Sproat Lake is absolutely stunning. The view was fantastic and having a dock to enjoy the water was a huge bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it anyone looking for a slice of paradise.
